​I'm always in implacable pursuit of poetic image-making.  Embracing a raw , visceral, and sensory cinematic style that transports the viewer into every frame at both an intellectual and sensory level, conveying the atmosphere of both the inner and outer world. In many ways my commercial and scripted work echo each other; I want the audience to be more than a spectator, I want them to 'experience' the characters, cultures and worlds I'm portraying.

My visual language searches to deepen our understanding and empathy about what it is to be human, with an emphasis on the complex contradictions inherent in all life, primal and intellectual, vital and dream-like. My life philosophy is an amalgam of nihilism, absurdism, and spiritual zen monkery! 

 

Subversive, curious, obsessive, mischievous - work is play for me! So I rarely rest, or switch off,  instead every moment of every second, waking hours, or dead of night, I'm panning for the gold of human poetry.
